I've not yet found any setting in the Mac RDC client that would enable me to specify which of the host's monitors to show when connected, and I'm not aware of any way to set it at the host either. However, unlike her Windows counterparts, when she connects from the Mac, the RDC opens to her workstation's secondary monitor instead of the primary. We were able to get the one employee that uses a Mac connected to their computer through RDC just fine (using the Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 from the Mac App Store. All of our employees who use Windows at home seem to have gotten this working without a hitch. Since the RDC only displays a single monitor (unless I've missed something), we've told them to make sure their main shortcuts and such are on their primary monitor. Everything appears to be working fine, for the most part, but I have one employee that's using a MacBook Air that's having what I consider to be a 'strange' issue.Īll of our employees have at least two monitors connected to their office computer (Windows 10 Pro). So, in the midst of all the COVID-19 preparedness stuff, we've set up an RDC gateway for our employees to use to remote in to their individual workstations.
